A Temple Of Unique Architecture - Wat Pha Sorn Keaw

A temple little known to foreigner but undoubtedly the most beautiful temple in Thailand. A "must visit" if you are able to be in Northern Thailand. The name literally means Temple on a Glass Cliff, and it is located in the northern province of Petchabun in Khao Kho district on a 830m peak, giving it a very majestic view.

Against the backdrop of the magnificent mountains is the white Main Temple buidling that houses that statue of five Buddhas nested together in a meditative postures. This represents the traditional five Buddhas who visited the Earth. Such Buddha statue is again the only unique one in Thailand.

The Golden Pagoda temple ground is adorned with with several million colourful mosaic tiles, pottery shards, and pieces of China, with no two patterns alike thus giving it a sense of quirky uniqueness. This is undoubtedly the most colourful and beautiful temple in Thailand, one with an architectural that departs from the traditional Thai temple design.

A walk around the top of the main pagoda building is definitely a must, giving you an awesome view of the surrounding mountainous area!
