Our last 3 days in Tokyo was spent in Narita area. After checking into our hotel early afternoon, we decided to just have a walk around to familiarise the area.
We a nice cooling stroll while we took some photos of the surrounding.
As we are staying are Mecure Hotel near Narita Airport, the famous Naritasan temple is just about a 10mins walk away.
Early next morning, we are off to see the temple. The road from our hotel to the temple is lined with shops selling all kinds of local delicacies in their traditional ways.
The entrance to the temple is simply majestic and beautiful.
The temple ground has a park within which other buildings are housed. One can literally takes hours to have a relaxing stroll within the compound while enjoying the cultural heritage of the temple.
After a large part of the afternoon spent within the temple, it's time for us to walk back to our hotel. However, being alittle hungry now, we are tasting as many local delicacies as we can along the way.
And we just have to stop by this shop which had a long queue of customers, serving fresh BBQ eels.
This little dish is indeed very tasty. It served us well after all the food tasting along the street to end our 2nd day in Narita.
