Seeing it in Tom Cruise's movie Mission Impossible - The Ghost Protocol is one thing, but being there oneself to really experience it is really awesome!!!
Opened in 2010, Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building in the world, standing at about 828 metres. Conveniently located just beside Dubai Mall (the largest in the world), going up to the top of the building is simple and easy through the connecting pathway. The sceneries just outside the Dubai Mall is also breath taking and worth some photos.
Going up to the top of Burj Khalifa takes about a minute in the high speed elevator. However, this one minute is filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation as after the elevator doors closes, the lights within are turned off and a clip movie on the information on the building is projected on the walls of the elevator. It is like watching a one minute movie in anticipation of what we are going to experience immediately after it. The clip indicates how high the elevator has reached and its height location in respect of the building. The feeling is simply wonderful. Once the clip ends, the lights in the elevator turns on and the doors opens to the entrance of the observation deck of the tallest building in the world, at 125 storeys up!!!
And the view over looking Dubai obviously is an unforgettable one too!
Definitely a must visit whenever you are in Dubai!
